Kole Garcia

Executive Director, Owner; EMT-P, EMD-Q, EMD-I, CPR-I; Michael “Kole” Garcia has worked as a first responder for over 30 years. For the last 9, Kole has dedicated himself to training emergency dispatchers and improving their interactions with the public. Growing up in a family with varying degrees of English proficiency provided Kole with the drive to advocate on behalf of the Hispanic community.

Josh Brown

Director of Operations, Owner; EMT-P, AEMD, CPR-I, Fire; Josh has been working in the emergency service field for the past seven years. He has filled roles in numerous jobs in this field such as: Army Medic, EMT/Paramedic, Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatcher, Emergency Room Technician, EMS Communicator, EMR - NREMTP adjunct instructor, Member of Wi EMS state board - Data / Analysis subcommittee, and FF/Paramedic. Josh is able to bring his knowledge from a diverse background.

Bridgette Wallace

Community Outreach Coordinator; EMT-P, CPR-I; Bridgette is both a paramedic and dispatcher. A proud Milwaukee native, she became a paramedic to serve her community. This commitment has driven her to share her expertise as a CPR instructor and as Dispatch Coach’s Community Outreach Coordinator.

Heidi Golembiewski

Director of Community Outreach; RN, EMT-B, AEMD; Heidi Golembiewski is the Director of Community Relations of Dispatch Coach LLC where she is passionate about bridging the gap between communities and their emergency responders. Years of experience in healthcare as both an EMT and now a nurse have shown her the disparities that exist in the emergency response system.

Suzanne Gutierrez

Translation Outreach Coordinator - Social Worker; Suzie has dedicated her life to giving back to the Hispanic community. Working with her nephew Kole Garcia at Dispatch Coach has given her a new way to give back. With a background in social work and translation services in the medical field, Suzie brings her passion of patient advocacy to Dispatch Coach.

Financial Director; owner; Kevin Nugent became an entrepreneur approximately 33 years ago. Since then, he has created and managed numerous successful businesses.

CPR Specialist - Meet Manny the Mannequin! Manny has been with us since the beginning, and is the current record holder for employee of the month! Manny is one of our CPR mannequins, and has assisted in every one of our classes!

Maggie Carlozzi

CPR Instructor; CPR-I, EMD-Q,

EMT-B, Maggie is a lifetime Wisconsin resident that has dedicated her life to public service. She currently is a dispatcher, EMT basic, and she teaches CPR classes. Maggie is an outstanding teacher and her dedication to students is unmatched.

Erick Garcia

CPR Instructor; CPR-I, AEMD, EMT-B; Erick Garcia has worked in Milwaukee EMS for the last decade. Using his education degree, he strives to bring the best out of all his students. 

Our Advisors

Aubrey McDonald

Assistant Professor in the Criminal Justice Department at UW Parkside since Fall 2019. Dr. McDonald has a PhD in Criminology from University of Illinois in Chicago and a Master’s in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder. 

 

  • Aubrey’s research involves examining racialized and gendered cultural frames in media, social movements and criminal trials and the influence on cognitive bias and decision-making. Courses Dr. McDonald teaches include Police & Society; Race, Crime & Law; Crime & Media; Women & Crime; Street Gangs & Crime; Juvenile Justice; Introduction to Criminal Justice

Paul Schewe

PhD, Director, Interdisciplinary Center for Research on Violence Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice University of Illinois at Chicago

 

  • Paul Schewe is an avid sailor as well as a clinical/community psychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice at UIC. Paul has served as the Director of UIC’s Interdisciplinary Center for Research on Violence since 2006. His work ranges from basic research identifying factors associated with the perpetration of interpersonal violence, to developing preventive interventions, to using evaluation and dissemination strategies to further develop existing violence prevention programs for agencies, communities, and statewide networks of service providers. The focus of his research includes sexual assault, teen dating violence, domestic violence, and young children’s exposure to violence.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
